4/18/08

Dear friends,

By now, most of you have probably heard about Mark Ginn's disappearance.  What many of you may not know is that this is Regina Cliburn's husband.  Regina and her brothers, Stuart and Stan, are alumni of Forest Hill.  This is personal for me as well because Mark is my second cousin's father-in-law, and therefore part of my extended family.

Not much is known about Mark's disappearance.  He is two weeks post open heart surgery.  Monday morning, April 14th, after Regina had left for work, Mark left the house in his son's Jeep Grand Cherokee.  Debit card purchases indicate he purchased gas, and then items at the Home Depot in Clinton.  He's not been seen since then.

Tomorrow morning (Saturday, April 19th), at 8:00 am, there will be an organized volunteer search.  If you are available, please meet at Wynndale Baptist Church, 11287 Springridge Road, Terry, MS  39170.  There will be a grid of Hinds County and individuals will be assigned a certain area to search.

Any and all will be welcome.  Prayers are especially needed for the family at this time.  Thanks everyone, and God bless.

Dena

12/27/2007 Happy New Year to everyone.  Just a little advice, anyone coming in for the games or just to celebrate, PLEASE, PLEASE BE SAFE! STAY OUT OF THE ALLEYS AND ANY PLACE YOU DON'T SEE CROWDS OF PEOPLE. WATCH WHERE YOU PARK. I learned this the hard way when I came to my first adventure in New Orleans. I was so excited cause I thought that someone had stole my car. It was a Lime Green, four door Dodge Dart with vinyl seats and I hated that car with a passion. It was towed instead so I had to take it back after paying a small fee. Have fun & let me know if you need help but I can't bail you out of jail and I'm too old to show tit's so don't count on that either.

Thanks, Kathy Barnes

12/21/2007   Mardi Gras Day is February 5th. this year and I just wanted to share some information for those who have never been and have always thought about it. It really doesn't matter if you decide to come Mardi Gras Day or the weekend before but you should think about attending parades in Metairie. It is one of the safest, family friendly enviroment that you can imagine. The parades are just a good as some of the ones down in New Orleans without the over-crowding and possible crime issues. I go just to watch the enjoyment of the kids and take as many pictures as I can. If anyone is interested, I will be more than happy to help direct you to a good, safe viewing spot, where the best place to park, local hotels, etc. I will be having entensive shoulder surgery right after the holidays and will be available by the time the parades start to roll. Call me if you want to come and I'll help you out anyway that I can. It would be really great if a bunch of us to get together with the kids, grandkids, etc. Please bring your own ladders, ice chests and what-nots. My cell is 504-427-1844. Hope to see some of you.

Thanks, Kathy Barnes

9/30/2007 I have something to say to one an all.
We have lost another classmate, Diane Brown. She took herself out before her life should have been over .She was depressed about a lot of things.
She loved and was loved. I was a part of her life for just a brief moment of her life.
She loved to read and stay in shape. Very fit woman she was.
Two sisters a nice and a grandnephew survived her.
Diane had no children of her own, but she raised her grandnephew like a mother would, lots of love and care. This is the way Diane was, gave her time to taking care of others.
She will be missed
Classmates we all have up and downs in our life. Please know you always have someone to go to and talk with, a classmate, friend other family your pastor.
If you don’t think you have someone to talk to call me I will listen and help you anyway I can.
In Loving Memory of
      Diane Brown
